Materials

V ~ rosemedley1.psp image, save it in the folder that we have designed for it and that you can download by clicking here
1 º Open an image 300/300 transparent background and call Fondo.En the color palette, press the left mouse button which signifies the hand, opens a window as shown in the screenshot. Wherever large arrow indicates, paste this code # ffe9d1.

And with the paint bucket, fill the image.
2 No Go to Layers / Add a new layer of deployment, which we call tube / image, etc. .. With the magic wand, we will press on either side of the image (second layer)

It will select the entire image:

3 ° We seek v ~ rosemedley1.psp image through Browse. The open double click on it. Copy and we can close the image, or to minimize the way. On the edge of our image and making sure that we are in the top layer we click and select, Paste / within the selection:

Selections / Remove Selection
Effects / 3D Effects / Drop Shadow (Shadow) we apply a drop shadow with these settings:

4 º Go to Effects / Image Effects / Seamless Tiling:

In the new window that opens we put these values:

Layers / Merge visible (Merge visible layers)
5 th Open a transparent image that is our size screen resolution. I normally use 1024/300 for my funds. fill it with the color that you used earlier: # ffe9d1. Layers palette to add a new layer.
In the toolbar, click the rectangle icon:
Palette and select the configuration
A window and we will put the following values:

The fund we have this:

We repeat the step # 3 And the image of the pattern, we stay within the box we have selected

Deselect
6 º Effects / Effects 3D/Sombra And we apply these values:

if we check the option that says the last hand, the shadow is applied to a new layer, which opens the program alone.
And as we shall see, we go very well right away.
7 ° If we look at the screenshot, we see that the shadow does not reach the end of all of the layer, this will leave a space 'empty' shadow when using our background:

Cuts would be felt in the shade. But as we have in a different layer of the image, we 'stretch' without thereby deforming the edge, using the tool Warp
:

In the following capture now see that if the shadow has no 'cuts' therefore remain continuous at the bottom insert.

So we can only sign, merge all layers and ready to use ![]()
See here another way of using this effect

Shalana Hello, I'm so glad I found your tutorials with the program Paint Shop Pro and I have to tell you that I have is paint shop pro photo x2, and I wonder if this can work doing the effects I see in your tutorials, and I'm very excited to achieve, I hope that at some point you have a little time off I can resonder, my nonbre is Ana
Hi Anna, if you can make also the beauty of this program is that it still uses the same icons to represent your tools and effects, and in the same order, both in English or Castilian and basically, since the PSP 8, to the last there now, you can do everything, not so with the PSP 7, and even this, most things you could do well, perhaps not as sophisticated, but you could just about everything.
I hope you serve the tutorials and do things pretty well and forgive for not having answered before you?
Regards and happy weekend
can not do with the psp 704, I'll see if the other pc, I have the pspx, I can do.
