Warp Tool

Tutorial made with version 9 of Paint Shop Pro, you can make any other ;) at least from this.

Let's use a new tool maybe .. but will give us many possibilities. We begin by making a mask for an edge or a top.

The first thing you must do is carefully read the tool tip

Mesh Warp, you will find here

1, Open a transparent image 300/300 and with the paint bucket, fill it with a color we like. I always use as the # FFE6D7 ;)

2 ° With Selections Rectangle active, go to Customize selection and put these values:

And fill it with color # cc3300.

3 In the same layer, go back to Customize selections and put these values:

And fill it with the same color.

4 º Back to Custom Settings and change the values for these:

Deselect

5 º Activate the warp mesh tool / Warp: We will put these values in the palette settings:

High quality draft and turned the final quality.

Our image and we will see at this stage of the tutorial:

6 ° We will place ourselves in the first node that can move (Recall that the edge does not move) and we will drag 20 px to the left:

Note that the blue arrows show us the exact spot where we release the mouse:

The result will be immediately and we will see is this:

7 ° To get an effect of waves, we will work alternating nodes. Therefore, we should be on the Central Node (Third):

And again with the last or fifth node:

8 º Go to Image / Resize (Canvas Size) and put 1024 wide by 300. Accommodate the image to the edge and fill the background. As there is an image with too many colors, we can safely store it in gif format. It will look bad and will have little weight.

Example

9 th with the magic wand set at Add Mode (Add Shift) Press on the areas with the color # CC3300, When we selected them all, go to Selections / Promote to Layer. Thus we have separated the background. We added a slight shadow, activating this option that in a different layer.

(Remember that we 'stretch' the shadow layer so there are no gaps when using the border.)

10 ° will place the edge on one side of the canvas, just right next to the shore.

* Note: If this causes problems so the hard way, remember that if you use the warp tool and holding down the Shift key (Shift) by pressing the arrow keys let go pixel by pixel in the direction you're pressing, reaching the place you want.

Duplicate the layer and go to Image / Mirror. Merge these two layers and apply a new image for a background. Can see the result:

Chiquis .... so is the art .. Now the possibilities are menesas .. and for you to put them into practice. I spare you a few examples more:

But imagine ... put that creativity up and I'm sure that soon we will see wonders. Let us hope you like it, I really got me excited about this tool!
