Playing with Nodes

Tutorial made with version 9 of Paint Shop Pro, you can make any other ;)

Go try making 'friends' of the nodes. Great tool and if we discover the full extent, also come to love them ;)

So quiet, we take the time necessary to read the tutorial first and then we are even ejecutarlo. No great creations ... but go slowly now ... we will know them better and little by little dominating them.

Here the tip on the Nodes ;)

1 º Open an image 400/400 px transparent. Select the Preset Shapes tool and choose the Ellipse. In the Materials palette, choose a foreground color and a background. Those who want. And draw the ellipse.

2 ° Now that we have drawn, click on the icon of the Pen tool, we may well see the Nodes, and the rectangle disappears. If you want to see them even better, go to the Layers palette, click on the + sign of the vector layer and the sublayer, click on the eye to hide it. We will now see only the journey, with their segments and nodes:

img 1

3 ° We will select the two vertical nodes, the top and bottom. To do this, press the Shift key (not the caps lock) and holding it we click on the nodes that make the arrows on the screen:

We remain so, as shown in the previous capture.

por defecto son de tipo Vértice o Cúspide, genial, pues los necesitaremos así De todos modos, es bueno que lo comprobemos, según muestra el tip. 4 ° To draw an ellipse, the Nodes are of type default vertex or cusp, great, because the need and anyway, it's check is good, as shown in the tip. Then 'stretch' Node marked with a circle toward the center of the ellipse:

5 In the Layers palette click (right-click) on the sub:

Again click (click) on it:

Next, put the cursor over the image and note that the outline of the shape appears on it. Click (click) to release and paste:

We now have two identical shapes.

6 ° We click on the icon of vector selection and rotate the copy until it just completely perpendicular to:

7 th repeat point # 5 and # 6, but this time not rotate it much, if not this:

8 ° A new copy and we place as follows:

9 º Switch to the Pen tool and in the Layers palette, select one of the sublayers:

Nodes are displayed and modified as follows:

We like the node below and we remain well more or less:

Layer by layer select and apply these actions to each of the layers:

10 º We selected again the ellipse and draw a circle in the center of the flower:

It remains now select and promote vector layers to raster layers. We have a tip on how to select and promote normal layer a vector layer here if you need to remember ;)

11 ° After I apply the effect Trim with the following settings:

Remember: select, and apply new layer. Repeat but now in negative values (-5) Merge and save transparent gif format, playing with different settings until you find the most appropriate ;) This was my result.

Another flower with a flick of the nodes rather ;) In a new image, transparent draw an ellipse, so that let's select the nodes and we will move them around as follows:

The top node we lowered below:

continue with the lower node and place him above:

Now the left side. we took him to the right:

The right to the left:

The ellipse is completely change the way we see:

We add a node on each side, about half of the central rectangle we stayed:

And will meet at the center:

We will read:

Duplicate the vector form as we did with the previous flower. The store as a way we select and promote a raster layers to apply effects such as we did with the previous one.

A not so difficult as were thinking? Encouragement for them and they are only nodes!

I continue with this subject ... (when I get something in your head until you strike it out NO haha) reading the tips in this topic is a part that says that when you draw a vector obejeto appears surrounded by a selection rectangle, and that the pen tick this rectangle disappears, well to me does just the opposite, when I select the ellipse and the drawing, leaving only 4 cudraditos chiquititos about drawing and NOT get the selection rectangle, and then tick boom time If the selection rectangle! I do not understand that .... I have labeled 'Show nodes' and Create On Vector, what is failing me? .... Thanks and a big kiss ...

Mmm ... let's see, once again review the first catch of the tip, and you'll see that from the PSP, there are two ways to create a vector shape.
When you open the dropdown menu of Forms, there are three icons (see, that's an icon) to get:
    Rectangle
    Ellipse
    Symmetrically (looks a star)
And below, there is something like a cartoon in the cartoon, right?
The latter is where you find those forms you have saved or will default to the program and are called 'Preset Shapes' Among others, there is also the ellipse. Try this also see a difference and find another you?
Vectors have their 'hobbies' but once exceeded, are nice to do and not tell you the Deslustrador, with which I took the photo of George and you saw how it turned out. But to have a slight idea as you already know the PSP, give cane and see then will be easier, and well, I will someday also some Illustrator tutorial ;)
A big kiss and do not give up huh?
