Organizing Paint Shop Pro
In case you are using PSP8 or PSP9, the only difference with the psp 7, the same program would create a folder in My Documents so you no longer need to do it ourselves, if we wish.
If fear is already created, we can redirect the location of the files to ours and I think eliminating the program.
A) When we installed Paint Shop Pro in our computer, it creates a folder on drive C: (ie your main hard disk.) To find it, we must follow this route:
![]()
B) We opened it and found a series of folders with names (some are going to ring soon) and a series of files that do not have to play for nothing and therefore not included in the catch.

C) When you open these folders, we see a series of files with different extensions. They are bringing the program by default. It is important to get to know each of these belong on file extensions (as they will be extensions of the materials we use with the PSP)
Forms or Sharpes:. Jsl
Gradients:. JGD
Line Style:. Sld
Mark:. Pfr
Masks:. Mask
Popsicle. Pal
* Patterns:. Bmp
Brushes and Brush:. Jbr
Plugins and filters: .8 bf Presets: PBS. PBV,. PLH. PCF. PCN. PEN. PFL. POS
. PPF. PRL. PSB. PSC. PTL. PSC. PTX. PSS. PSW
(Presets are preset options on the Effects of PSP. May be even some more, but these are the most used.)
Selections:. Sel
Seals or tubes **:. Tub
Textures:. Tex. Bmp
Images *** extension:. Psp
Patterns, we note that since the option to use the PSP itself gives us, we keep them with the exact extent and this is bmp, within this folder and not confused with those who can name also as patterns and can use having them open in the program.
Tubes and Seals is the same type of files, Tubes is whether the language is English or if Castilian Stamps
Psp is the default format to keep the PSP images, but we tell others and it is not displayed but with Paint Shop Pro, so the folder to store them so we can call Tubes, and Stamps, as best We're going to understand us.
We should note that when you open these folders, we can only display images that bring files bmp extension. or Jpg and Gif. The other, we have to use your own Paint Shop Pro and others use them only to see the effects they do.
In theory it would also be in these folders where should we be saving any new files and then use them from the PSP. But this increases the size (weight) of the folders and there comes a moment just collapsing at the same program.
It is therefore advisable to open a new folder with subfolders consequent to store all necessary equipment, outside the program.
D) An ideal place is in the folder "My Documents". also if you have a second hard drive is a good option, because in this way, we would avoid having to save or lose all accumulated materials, if we had to format either a problem or unexpected. You will go to "My Documents" and create a name which identifies such "Materials Psp"

E) Inside, you'll create new folders to store all the files there, so organized that we will use materials from the PSP:

As you can see even, we can add some new folders that were not previously in Paint Shop Pro among others those of Fonts, Glitters etc., Etc ...
Now and knowing and extensions of each type of files, we just keep them in their appropriate folder is time to use them.
